As I write this, I have CNN in the background and I heard the news that many as I really never expected to arrive : Osama Bin Laden is dead.
Everyone knows who was Bin Laden, would that have been literally off the planet or at least completely disconnected for not having ever heard his name and what he did, apart from the history that surrounds her life, be a millionaire Arabic, To lead a crusade against the most powerful nation in the world (military and economically speaking at least).
Many doubt everything that has surrounded the history of this man now dies in a military operation in Pakistan, not because we believe in conspiracy theories as many Americans do, but because deep down we know that history always written the winners and in this case I think is much more that really will not know (like Bin Laden connections with the CIA and its role in the war in Afghanistan) that the truth will be written. People celebrating in front of the White House seems so repulsive image of Arab woman screaming and jumping for joy in that already distant Palestine September 11, 2001.
Are we safer now that Bin Laden died? I say no, and while another conflict with the Arab world is in full swing these days (Libya) with another Arab leader as much or more mad than Bin Laden (Gaddafi) this just be another news story, such as the death of Saddam Hussein also brought peace to the region.
